From 1958 to September 2008 an organisation affiliated to the Sailors Society operated the Bay of Plenty Seafarers Centre in Hull Road, Mount Maunganui, just outside the port gates. In September 2008 the building was sold to the Port Company and the Bay of Plenty Seafarers Charitable Trust now supports the United Seafarers Centre in the port. UNITED SEAFARERS CENTRE Location Map

	Other:	Most ships in port visited or contacted. Visiting seafarers should contact the Port Company who will send the security bus to uplift and transport to the club.
